Takata Airbag Safety Recall

Over 60 million vehicles from at least 19 automakers worldwide are affected by the recall of Takata Airbag. To date, there have been at least 23 deaths and over 300 injuries worldwide that were linked to Takata Airbags quality issues.

The propellant inside the inflator may be degraded after prolonged exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures and high temperature cycling. It could cause the inflator to rupture and the airbag to deploy abnormally in a crash. The metal fragments may pass through the airbag and into the vehicle interior at high speed, which may result in injury or death to vehicle drivers & occupants.

Crown Motors will replace affected airbag inflator of Toyota, Lexus and Hino (including parallel import) free of charge.
